    • Learn your child’s and teen’s biology and developmental level in order to properly communicate with them

MEET YOUR COACH

Dr. Shaakira Abdullah

Dr. Shaakira Abdullah, also known as the Halal Sexpert, is a Sexologist with a Master's degree in Human Sexuality and a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She is a passionate advocate for providing sexuality education to the Muslim community from an Islamic perspective. Dr. Shaakira Abdullah has a deep personal connection to this mission, having founded the 501c3 non-profit organization Love Beyond Love to educate Muslim youth about sexuality education from an Islamic perspective.

With her husband, Abdullah, she facilitates workshops for Muslim youth in masjids, conferences, and their own hosted events. However, she soon realized that many youth could not discuss sexuality topics with their parents, and she became determined to empower Muslim parents to be the primary sexuality educators for their children and teens. Dr. Shaakira Abdullah taught as a full-time as a Nursing Professor at Widener University. Today, she works as a Primary Care Provider, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Human Sexuality from Widener University, which she will earn in 2024.
